“This path is not a valid git v1.6.0 or higher binary.” on Mac OS X

If you having problems importing sample projects from dashboard in Titanium Studio and if Titanium says “This path is not a valid git v1.6.0 or higher binary.” this is what you can do:

  1. Go to then download and install latest git binaries
  2. Open Titanium Studio Preferences -> Team -> Git and in ‘Git Executable’ field fill with ‘/usr/local/git/bin/git’
  3. Import sample project to workspace

Magento 1.6 Quick Search returns unwanted or unexpected results

This issue is very common since last couple versions. I found this useful article how to resolve it here in version 1.5. and I recommend to read it if you want to understand how quick search works.

Here is my update for version 1.6. Basically same idea with small changes:

  1. Copy: app/code/core/Mage/CatalogSearch/Block/Result.php to: app/code/local/Mage/CatalogSearch/Block/Result.php and uncomment lines 149 and 150:
    Then go to line 172 and change from:
    $this->_productCollection = $this->getListBlock()->getLoadedProductCollection();
    $this->_productCollection = Mage::getSingleton(‘catalogsearch/layer’)->getProductCollection();
  2. Copy: app/code/core/Mage/CatalogSearch/Model/Resource/Fulltext.php to: app/code/local/Mage/CatalogSearch/Model/Resource/Fulltext.php and go to line 356 and change:
    $likeCond = ‘(‘ . join(‘ OR ‘, $like) . ‘)';
    $likeCond = ‘(‘ . join(‘ AND ‘, $like) . ‘)';
  3. In Admin Panel -> System -> Configuration -> Catalog -> Catalog Search set Search Type property to “Like”. Then reindex data, refresh cache…

Ako je neko imao probleme iz naslova ovog posta sa “App Store” aplikacijom na svom “Mac” računaru mozda ovaj tekst može po pomogne.

Prvo sam pokušao sa “Disk Utility” aplikacijom i opcija “First Aid -> Repair Disk Permissions” ali posle restarta ništa se nije poboljšalo.



Onda sam našao sledeće rešenje koje su preporučili stručnjaci iz “Apple Tech Support” odeljenja:

  1. Otvorite Home folder (obično ima naziv kao i Vaš username)
  2. Onda otvorite folder “Library”
  3. Pa zatim otvorite folder “Preferences”
  4. Izbrišite ceo folder “ByHost”
  5. Onda izbrišite “”
  6. Pa zatim izbrišite “”
  7. Ispraznite korpu sa izbrisanim fajlovima
  8. Restart
  9. Otvorite “App Store” i trebalo bi da radi
